The estate Raventós i Blanc, ninety hectares of woods and vineyards in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, has belonged to the family Raventós since 1497, and passed undivided from generation to generation until today. In 1872 Josep Raventós Fatjó produced the first sparkling wine of second fermentation in the bottle, with grapes from the estate. Since then, all generations have been dedicated to growing grapes and making great sparkling wines. In 1984 Josep Maria Raventós i Blanc, along with his son Manuel Raventós, decided to establish this winery in the heart of this historic estate, and created a brand of international prestige.
